Published March 18. 2010 05:00PM

Joseph B. Shevlin of 908 Mountain Road, Chestnuthill Township, has been arrested by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks for harassment and disorderly conduct, stemming from a lengthy series of telephone calls he made to the state police barracks.

Police said the incidents happened between 4:40-6:45 p.m. Wednesday, during which time, it is alleged, Shevlin called the station approximately 18 times. Police said they warned the man multiple times to stop calling the station but the calls continued. It is also alleged Shevlin used obscene language several times, including when police arrived at his home.

He was taken into custody and lodged in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, pending arraignment.
