Two men arrested for home invasion

Two men were arrested following a home invasion that occurred in Summit Hill on Jan. 1.

According to Summit Hill police, a home was broken into at 4:15 a.m. A police investigation led to two individuals being identified as the burglars.

A warrant was issued for Anthony Bernardo, 36, no available address, and Carl Stevens Jr., 30, no current address. Bernardo turned himself in, while Stevens was picked up by Palmerton police without incident and is in Carbon County prison in lieu of bail.

The men were charged with burglary, criminal conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal trespass, and criminal mischief.
