CCEEC to hold open house
Carbon County Environmental Education Center will hold a free open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 28. Everyone is invited.
One of the highlights of the event will be a fundraising raffle of themed baskets with a drawing of winners at 3 p.m. Refreshments, door prizes, live animals, games and activities for children are planned.
CCEEC provides environmental education programs for thousands of students and other visitors each year. The Center is also a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center, assisting members of the community who encounter wildlife in distress.
CCEEC is located at the west end of Mauch Chunk Lake Park, along the Lentz Trail highway, just outside of Jim Thorpe. For more information or directions, call (570) 645-8597.
