Carbon County Democrats for Change meets Tuesday
The race is on. Join us on Tuesday to meet the candidates and hear what they stand for at the March meeting of the Carbon County Democrats for Change (CCDC). It will be held at Pepperjacks Restaurant, located at 41 Broadway in Jim Thorpe on March 23 at 7 p.m.
The speakers will be Joe Warner, the campaign manager for fourteen-term Congressman Paul Kanjorski; and Jake Digel, the NEPA Political Director for Senator Arlen Specter, who will be representing the Senator's re-election campaign. Both speakers are veterans of the campaign trail and will give an "insiders" perspective.
Also speaking will be the candidates for the 122 District House of Representatives seat that have successfully filed their petitions to appear on the ballot. Each candidate has been asked to focus on the issues that brought him into the race and there will be time for questions.
CCDC is a growing action group in Carbon County that supports progressive legislation and candidates at the national, state, and local level. Newcomers are always welcome. For further information, please call President Linda Christman at 610-377-0235 or email lachris@ptd.net.
