The Navy Club will meet on Monday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lansford AMVETS. Stanley Jaroszewski will be in charge. New members are welcome.

St. Mary Orthodox Church, Coaldale, has announced its schedule of Easter services as follows:
Wednesday, March 31 - Holy Unction deanery service, 6 p.m. in Frackville.
Holy Thursday, April 1 - Vesperal Liturgy 9:30 a.m.; and Passion gospels, 7 p.m.
Good Friday, April 2 - Royal hours 9 a.m.; Great Vespers and procession, 5 p.m.
Holy Saturday, April 3 - Divine Liturgy 9:30 a.m. (light Lenten meal to follow in church hall); Midnight Office/Matins, 11:30 p.m., followed by blessing of baskets.
Easter Sunday, April 4 - Paschal Divine Liturgy 9:30 a.m.; Agape to follow in church hall (bring your favorite foods to share); Paschal vespers, 6 p.m.
Bright Monday, April 5 - Divine Liturgy 9:30 a.m.
Summit Hill
Methodist Charge
The schedule for the Coaldale/Summit Hill United Methodist Charge for Sunday, March 28, is as follows:
Worship services will be held at 9 a.m. in the Summit Hill United Methodist Church and at 11 a.m. in the Coaldale United Methodist Church. The Rev. Burgess Gordon, pastor, will preside at both services. Palm Sunday will be observed. A special offering will be received for the Conference's Youth and Young Adult Project.
The adult Sunday school will meet at 9:45 a.m. in the Coaldale church.
St. Paul Lutheran
The schedule for St. Paul Lutheran Church, Summit Hill, for the week of March 28 is as follows:
Sunday, March 28 - Sunday school, 9 a.m.; and Palm Sunday worship service, 10:30 a.m.
Holy Thursday, April 1 - Maundy Thursday worship service, 7 p.m.
Holy Saturday, April 3 - Easter vigil, 7 p.m.
Community service
The Good Friday community service will be held on Friday, April 2, at 3 p.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill.
Democratic plans
The Jeffersonian Democratic Club, Summit Hill, will hold a "Coffee with the Candidates" session on Saturday, May 8, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Summit Hill Borough Hall. It was previously announced the event will take place on May 1.
This will be an opportunity for anyone from the borough/county to meet the Democratic candidates who will be on the ballot for the May 18 Primary Election.
The club will meet on Thursday, April 22, at 7 p.m. in the borough hall.
Presbyterian church
The schedule for the Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill, for Sunday, March 28, is as follows:
Junior choir, 8:45 a.m.; adult Bible class, 9 a.m.; Sunday school, 9:15 a.m. and worship service, 10:30 a.m. Child care will be provided.
Nesquehoning
Lions Club
The Nesquehoning Lions Club will hold its next meeting on Monday, April 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lions Club building.
There will be no dinner at this meeting.

NCFC auxiliary
The ladies auxiliary to the New Columbus Fire Company will meet on Tuesday, April 6 at 7 p.m. at the fire company. President Gerry McConnon will preside.
