Community Supper
St. Mark's/St. John's Episcopal Church, monthly free community supper will be held on Sunday, March 28, from 4-6 p.m. The committee has planned an Easter ham dinner for this month.
Holy Week services
St. John's Lutheran Church, South Ave., has announced the following Holy Week services. Sunday, March 28, will be the distribution of palms in observance of Palm Sunday. Maundy Thursday services with the rite of first communion will begin at 7 p.m. on April 1. The Seven Last Words, will be spoken during the Good Friday service, April 2, at 2 p.m. An Easter vigil will be observed on Saturday, April 3, with a silent service at 6 p.m. The festival of Holy Communion will be celebrated on Easter Sunday, April 4, at the 10:30 a.m. service.
St. Johns Lutheran Church, North St., will begin its Holy Week of services with Maundy Thursday, April 1, with Holy Communion at 7 p.m. The Good Friday service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 3, the evening service will be at 6 p.m. and Easter Sunday service will be at 9 a.m.
Egg hunt slated in JT
The 63rd annual Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Diligent Fire Company will be held on Saturday, April 3 at 1 p.m. at the parking lot of the fire company. All children will get a chocolate bunny and there will be 64 prizes awarded. The event is open to children up to the age of 10.
