State House Republicans and Democrats joined in passing unanimously a bill requiring complete medical and dental health examinations of all Pennsylvania school children. The measure carred a $4,700,000 appropriation. "I have always felt," Governor Martin said regarding the legislation, "that if Pennsylvania...can spend millions to eradicate bang's disease and bovine tuberculosis from our cattle, then Pennsylvania can well afford to spend money to build sound minds and healthy bodies for the youth.
