May 4, 1998 Marian's Justin Barrasso and Panther Valley's Pam Ziegler each win three events to help their schools gain a Schuylkill League Division II split in track action. Barrasso takes the 100, 200 and 110 high hurdles as the Colts earn a 77-72 win. Marian's Bill Albright sets a new school record in the javelin with a throw of 178-10. Ziegler cops the 100, 200 and triple jump in the Lady Panthers' 88-53 victory. PV also gets two firsts from both Lacey Gonzalez (400, 800) and Kristin Blazosky (javelin, long jump).
