New Jersey man cited in Monroe

A New Jersey man was arrested for retail theft in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on Monday, April 26, about 9 a.m. officers were dispatched to the Walmart store in Mt. Pocono for a person in custody for theft. Upon arrival officers found Joseph Gesumaria, 61, of Nutley.

Police allege that Gesumaria attempted to remove two items, valued at $28.71, from the store without paying for them. He was taken into custody and arraigned before a district judge and released on $2,500 unsecured bail.
