Monroe break-in

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary that occurred at a Monroe County residence.

Troopers said the home of Leonard Michael Longo, 63, of Rocky Mountain Drive North, in Effort, Chestnuthill Township, was entered sometime between 3:30 and 5:05 p.m. on Monday, May 3. Entry was gained by forcing open a rear sliding glass door.

Several items were removed from the home including an X-box 360 with two controllers and two games, one HP laptop and one Acer laptop. Also taken were two bags of ammunition and two guns. One gun was a Smith & Wesson, model Swave, 9mm caliber, four-barrel, with serial number RBJ0100, valued at $318. The other gun was a Browning, model 50, 20 gauge, valued at $200.
