Retail theft arrests reported in Monroe

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported several retail theft arrests made at two Monroe County stores.

On April 30 officers were called to the Kmart store in Mt. Pocono at about 9:45 p.m. for a theft complaint. Officers said Karl Woda, 25, of Long Pond, was arrested for allegedly attempting to remove items from the store without paying for them.

Also on April 30, about 3:33 p.m., officers went to the Walmart store in Mt. Pocono for a theft report. Police cited two female juveniles, ages 16 and 17, for attempting to remove items from the store without paying for them. The two were processed at police headquarters and then released to their parents, police said.

On Tuesday, May 4, about 5:27 p.m. officers went to the Walmart store for another theft complaint. Officers cited Mark Tenny, Long Pond, for removing a beverage called Monster Shot from a shelf and consuming it without paying for it. Police said Tenny then attempted to leave the store with other merchandise without paying for it.
