Historical society
The Eldred Township Historical Society will meet on Tuesday, May 11 (instead of May 18 because of election) at 7 p.m. at the municipal building in Kunkletown. The guest will be Joyce Parisi with her dog, Pacer, The Intelligent Dog, who amazes everyone with his tricks. Everyone is invited to attend.
Sunday, May 16 will be the first work day for the renovation of the old post office building in Kunkletown. The old brown asphalt siding will be removed. Anyone who would like to help, please be there at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served.
Contemporary service
St. Matthew's UCC will hold its Contemporary Worship Service on Sunday, May 16 at 9 a.m. All are invited to attend.
Chestnut Ridge Seniors
The Chestnut Ridge Seniors will meet on Thursday, May 13 at 11 a.m. at the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Company. They will be celebrating Mother's Day with prizes for mothers, BBQ, ice cream and cake (need cake donations) and will play bingo.
