Theft from vehicle incident probed

A theft from a vehicle incident is being probed in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said unknown persons used a blunt object to punch open the key hole on the driver's side of the parked vehicle of Melissa Marie Scott, Minersville, and gain entry. Once inside they removed a Garmin GPS unit.

The incident occurred as the vehicle was parked on a lot at the Fairlane Village Mall in Norwegian Township, sometime between 6:40 and 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 6.
