The driver of a tractor-trailer rig that crashed early Monday, May 7, in Schuylkill County has been identified.

State police at Frackville said Daniel R. Keller, of Copperas Cove, Tex., was the driving of a 2009 International truck tractor with Wabash simi-trailer that left Interstate 81 in Delano Township, about 6:20 a.m. Keller was northbound when the rig left the road on the right side, traveled about 300 feet and struck several treess. The rig then struck a fence and then an embankment before it rolled onto its side. It came to rest over an embankment on its right side facing northeast.

Keller sustained a minor injury in the crash and was taken to St. Catherine's Hospital, Ashland, for treatment. Damages were severe to the rig. Troopers said the Department of Environmental Resources was called to the scene due to leaking fuel. Delano Fire Company volunteers assisted at the scene.
