Rear-end crash in Schuylkill

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a rear-end crash in which one driver was cited at a Schuylkill County intersection.

Troopers said Sarah Rose Lewis, 49, of Auburn, was northbound on SR61 in West Brunswick Township, on Friday, May 7, about 1:45 p.m. and slowed for traffic stopped ahead of her at Municipal Road. The rear of her 2006 Toyota Matrix was struck by the front of a 2004 Honda CRV operated by Dev R. Dawar, 71, of Northampton.

Troopers said both drivers refused medical treatment for minor injuries. Damages were major to the front of the Honda and moderate to the rear of the Toyota.

Troopers cited Dawar for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.
