Schuylkill driver charged with DUI

A Schuylkill County driver was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident about 8:27 p.m. on April 30.

State police at Frackville said Kenneth Richards, 71, of St. Clair, was stopped along SR1006 in Ryan Township for a motor vehicle code violation. He was found to be under the influence and was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center, Pottsville, for a blood test.

The test results showed he was over the legal limit of .08 percent and was charged with DUI, troopers said.
