Woman struck by car in Lehigh
A woman was struck by a car while attempting to cross a road in Lehigh County on Tuesday. State police at Fogelsville said the incident occurred along Lower Macungie Road between Willow Spur and Bogie lanes, in Lower Macungie Township.
Troopers said Lucy Malinowski, 64, of Macungie, attempted to cross the road when she was struck by a car operated southbound by Kathryn Kunkle, 61, also of Macungie.
Malinowski sustained serious, but not life-threatening, injuries and was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, troopers said. Troopers said the investigation into the accident is continuing but preliminary indications are that Kunkle would not be charged.
