Traffic safety stressed
Mahoning Township Chief of Police Ken Barnes urged motorists to use extra caution on Saturday, May 15, while traveling on SR902 in the vicinity of the Mahoning Elementary School.
There will be a school fair held there from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Motorists are asked to please exercise caution when driving in the area due to the increased amount of pedestrians walking along the road, increased vehicular traffic, and vehicles parked along the roadway.
Barnes said the 15 miles-per-hour speed limit in the school zone will be in effect as well.
Fire police and township police officers will be assisting with traffic in the area during the event.
