Storyteller Kathy Long of Lehighton will share her expertise as a storyteller at the next meeting of the Black Diamond Writers' Network, this Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon. The meeting will be held at the Tamaqua Public Library, 30 S. Railroad St. Spotlight reader of the month will be Dale Halleran of Hazleton.
The public is welcome to attend.
The BDWN is a nonprofit organization offering writing education and networking opportunities. The group meets the third Saturday of every month.

Griefshare
A new Griefshare group will be forming at Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 223 E. Broad Street, as of June 1. Meetings will be held on Tuesdays, at 1:30 p.m.
The 13-week sessions, Biblically based and non-denominational, are designed to help those hurting from the loss of a loved one.

St. John UCC
The Rev. Kevin Duffy Guy will officiate at the 9:30 a.m. service this Sunday in St. John United Church of Christ. Nursery service is available during the service.
A time of fellowship will be held following the service. The weekly service is broadcast on radio station WLSH, AM1410, at 11:30 a.m. Sundays.
Activities for next week will include: Monday, Spiritual Council meets at 7:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Bell Choir rehearsal at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, choir rehearsal at 7:30 p.m.
Zion Lewistown
Gideon Sunday will be observed this week in Zion Church in the Lewistown Valley. Terry Gerber will be the guest speaker at the 10:45 a.m. service. Sunday school classes will meet at 9:30 a.m.
Also on Sunday, the Mother-Daughter Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. in the social hall.
The youth group will meet at Christ Church, McKeansburg, May 21, from 7 to 10 p.m.

Trinity UCC
The Rev. Dr. David Grant will officiate at the 10 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Trinity United Church of Christ. The service will include words for young Christians and a Joyous Noise Offering. Nursery care is available during the service. Sunday school classes will meet at 8:45 a.m.
Activities for next week will include: Tuesday, election day dinner, 4 p.m. to sell out.; Thursday, Confirmation class meets at 4 p.m., Senior Choir rehearsal will be at 6:30 p.m.
Zion Lutheran
The Rev. Debra Ernst will officiate at the 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. worship services this Sunday in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. The early service will include the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Sunday school classes will meet at 9:30 a.m.
Activities for next week will include: Tuesday, PERT meets at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Mutual Ministry meeting at 7 p.m.; Thursday, Senior choir rehearsal at 7:30 p.m.
