Driver slightly injured in crash

A driver was slightly injured in a crash that occurred about 7:13 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, along Russel Court in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Perla M. Rodriguez, 47, of Effort, was driving a 2009 Pontiac Bonneville when she failed to negotiate a turn and the vehicle slide off the road and into a group of trees. Rodriguez was slightly injured and taken by West End ambulance to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment. She was cited for driving at an (un) safe speed.
