Pleasant Vy. wins opener
The Pleasant Valley Pirates played its first game as a member of the Keystone Senior Babe Ruth League and came away with a win over Upper Mount Bethel.

The Pleasant Valley Pirates recently won its first game as a member of the Keystone Senior Babe Ruth League by defeating the Upper Mount Bethel Muckdogs, 11-6.
The winners used a six-run fifth inning to pull away for the victory.
Justin Murray and Frankie Lewoc both had two hits and knocked in a pair of runs for the Pirates.
Pleasant Valley starting pitcher Joey Marino gained the mound win.

Royals-Delrose
The Jim Thorpe Royals got a big game from Mike Cataldo to beat Lansford Delrose, 6-2.
Cataldo tossed a complete-game three-hitter, striking out nine. He also contributed offensively with two doubles and an RBI.
Also playing well for the Royals were Damian Richards (double, four RBIs); Justin Kaminski (two hits, two runs); and Eric Mason (one hit, one RBI).
For Delrose, C. Black and J. Bilka each scored runs.
