Traffic stop leads to charges

A traffic stop in Schuylkill County led to a pending drug and drunk driving charges against the driver.

State police at Frackville said Devon Evanousky, 19, of Ringtown, was stopped about 11:05 p.m. along SR924 in Sheppton, East Union Township, for a traffic violation. At the stop troopers said Evanousky appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. Also found on him was a small amount of marijuana and a pipe used to smoke the drug.

Troopers said Evanousky submitted to a blood test at the Schuylkill Medical Center South, Pottsville. Charges are pending the test results, troopers said.
