Monroe man jailed for violating PFA
A Monroe County man was jailed recently for violating a protection from abuse (PFA) order.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said on Sunday, May 16, about 7:25 p.m. officers responded to SR940, Box 783, in Pocono Lake, to a report of a dog complaint. At the scene officers made contact with John Kauffman, 55, of Pocono Lake. While speaking with Kauffman officers observed a female, identified as Johana Vetesey, of Pocono Lake, in the residence.
Vetesey, it was learned, currently has a no contact PFA against Kauffman.
Kauffman was taken into custody and lodged in the county prison in Snydersville in violation of the order.
