A pedestrian was struck by a hit and run driver in Monroe County. State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred about 9:35 p.m. on May 7 along SR115 in Chestnuthill Township.

Troopers said Ebony P. Crick, 17, of Effort, was walking north along the southbound shoulder when a vehicle passed her. Her right forearm was struck by the passenger side mirror of the vehicle. The driver failed to stop after contact and continued southbound.

Crick sustained a minor injury that did not require immediate medical attention.

Troopers also reported investigating a two-vehicle crash on May 14 about 2:50 p.m. along SR209, just east of Chestnut Lane, in Chestnuthill Township.

Troopers said Andrew M. Deegan, 17, of Brodheadsville, and Richard L. Finelli, 17, of Saylorsburg, were both southbound. Finelli stopped for a traffic light and his 2002 Volkswagen Jetta was struck in the rear by Deegan's 1996 Buick LaSabre. No one was injured. Troopers cited Deegan for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
