Sobriety checkpoint held in Schuylkill

State police at Schuylkill Haven conducted a sobriety checkpoint along SR183 in front of the Cressona Borough Hall, from 10 p.m. Thursday, May 20, to 2 a.m. on Friday.

A total of 153 motorists were contacted with three drivers arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), two drivers cited for driving while under suspension-DUI related, one juvenile cited for underage drinking, one driver cited for an open container, and two cited for vehicle code violations.
