Monroe driver injured in crash

A Monroe County driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 10:43 p.m. on May 20 along Silver Springs Blvd., in Polk Township.

State police at Lehighton said Lisa M. Strohlein, 24, of Kresgeville, was driving a 2002 Hyundai Accent at the above location when she swerved her vehicle to miss a deer that had entered the roadway. The vehicle went onto the berm and struck a drainage ditch, then overturned.

Strohlein was injured and taken by West End ambulance to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
