Reported assault incident probed

State police at Frackville are investigating a reported assault incident.

Troopers said Jonathan Bowers, 21, of St. Clair, reported he was assaulted at a bush party he attended in Blythe Township. Troopers said the site of the party was a wooded area/dirt road commonly referred to by locals as "8-Ton Road". It is a known drinking/party area, troopers said.

Bowers received numerous facial injuries as a result of the incident, which occurred sometime between 1 and 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 22.
