Burglary, theft incidents probed

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a burglary and two theft incidents.

A break-in occurred at 119 Ridgeway Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, the residence of an unnamed 26-year-old male. The front door was pried open to gain entry. The criminals went through the residence opening all the kitchen cabinets. They then removed a plastic container from a closet in a middle bedroom which had money in it. Another plastic container in another bedroom was removed which also contained money. Also taken was a coin collection from a closet area in the master bedroom. The incident occurred sometime between Sunday, May 23, at 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, May 25, at 9:50 p.m.

Donna Gickling, 64, of 149 Lindbergh Circle, Towamensing Trails, Albrightsville, Carbon County, reported someone stole a water pump and wiring from her property. The theft occurred sometime between Oct. 15, 2009, and Tuesday, May 25.

A septic pump was removed from 11 Snowy Ridge Road, in Penn Forest Township. The pump, valued at $600, was reported taken on Monday, May 24.
