Break-in, theft incidents probed

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a burglary and several theft incidents.

The break-in occurred at the prooperty of Floyd Berger Jr., 57, of Mountain Rd., in Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County. Unknown criminals forced their way into a garage and stole copper piping. The theft occurred sometime between Oct. 10 and Sunday, Oct. 31.

The theft of three all terrain vehicles (ATV) is being probed.

Corey J. Swanger, 29, of 1185 Church Rd., Palmerton, Towamensing Township, Carbon County, reported someone cut a lock off a garage on his property and removed a 2004 Honda and a 2006 Yamaha ATV's. The thefts occurred sometime between 2 and 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30.

Randolph Scott Bogart, 43, of 7364 Lakeview Drive, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, reported a ATV was removed from behind a garage on his property. The ATV was unsecured. The theft occurred sometime between 2 and 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29. The ATV is valued at $500.

Thomas Hill, fo Rolling Hills Rd., in Saylorsburg R.7, Ross Township, reported someone broke a lock on a shed on his property in a rear yard and removed a Homelite 18-inch chainsaw. The theft occurred sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30.
