DUI arrests reported

State police at Lehighton reported on four driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers recently.

On Oct. 27 about 6 p.m. troopers stopped Terry Allen Fisher, 29, of Lehighton, along SR903 at Church Road, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, for tinted windows. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Palmerton hospital for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.

Also on Oct. 27, about 6:05 p.m., Wilhem W. Nebel, 53, of Lehighton, was placed under arrest for DUI of a controlled substance. He was taken for a test, troopers said. The DUI charge is pending the test results.

On Saturday, Oct. 30, about 7 p.m. troopers stopped Brian Joseph Balliet, 34, of Jim Thorpe, along SR903 at Behrens Road, in Penn Forest Township. He was found to be under the influence and was taken to the barracks for a breath test. The DUI charge is pending.

Also on Saturday, about 10:42 p.m., troopers stopped Jean Ida Schnell, 45, of Lehighton, at Fairyland and Harrity roads in Franklin Township for a stop sign violation. She was found to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, troopers said. She was taken to the Palmerton hospital for a blood test.

The DUI charge is pending the test results.
