Published November 01. 2010 05:00PM

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 9:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26, along SR611 at SR940 in Mt. Pocono.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Steven Napoli, 73, of Mt. Pocono, was stopped for a traffic violation after he failed to dim hit high beams and also failed to stop for a red traffic signal at the intersection. He was also traveling about five-miles-per hour at the time, police said.

Napoli was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.

The DUI charge is pending test results.
