Schuylkill teen facing drug counts

A Schuylkill County teen is facing drug charges after being stopped at a sobriety checkpoint.

State police at Frackville said Patrick Minnig, 19, of Pottsville, was stopped in the checkpoint set up along Mauch Chunk St., in Port Carbon, when troopers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. He was also found to have a small amount of marijuana.

Troopers said he was charged with the two drug violations.
