Schuylkill driver facing DUI count

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 12:23 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, along Mill Creek Road at the Port Carbon/St. Clair highway, in Norwegian Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Jessica Linnenbaugh, 27, of Frackville, was observed turning right onto Mill Creek and traveled into the lane of a state police cruiser nearly striking it. A traffic stop was conducted and Linnenbaugh showed signs of intoxication, troopers said.

She was placed under arrest and submitted to a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.
