Tamaqua Indians Pony team ends unbeaten

The Tamaqua Indians Knee-hi Pony football team (ages 7-9) celebrates with a fire truck parade on Monday night, Nov. 1 in Tamaqua after winning the Extreme Youth Football League (XYFL) division championship game against Jim Thorpe. The Indians finished with a record of 7-0, posting four shutouts. They also only gave up a total of five touchdowns during the season. The players include Devon Zehner, Brandon Mader, Nicholas Breiner, Luke Van Buskirk, Tyler Disbrow, Zachary Fannock, Joseph Toney, Nathan Boyle, Jake Barron, Michael Bonetsky, Michael Lucas, Christopher Osenbach, Joshua Vincent, Barron Stauffenberg, Alexander Zeigler, Bronson Strouse, Sam Fox, William Frederick, Tyler Shilko, Jared Reed, John Buchala, Khalid Holland, Jacob Brode, Logan Kromer, and Nick Zehner. Rich Mader is their head coach.
