Schuylkill resident facing charges

A Schuylkill County resident is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 4.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Kenneth Mark Witmer, 24, of W. Center St., Good Spring section of Frailey Township, and Calvin Leroy Osborne, 56, of Port Royal, Juniata County, were involved in a physical altercation at Witmer's residence.

During the altercation Witmer allegedly shoved Osborne against a metal railing on the front porch of the residence causing reddening to his lower back. At some point during the altercation Witmer, either inadvertently or intentionally, struck Osborne's right eye with his elbow causing redddening and swelling to the eye, troopers said.

Witmer was cited for harassment, troopers added.
