November 12, 1988 Two Marian players each reach 100 yards rushing and the Colts cruise to a 33-12 victory over rival Tamaqua. Greg Izzo carries 25 times for 127 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Joe Gillespie gains 101 yards and two scores on 16 attempts. Gillespie hits paydirt from 30 and 10 yards while Izzo's TD runs cover two and five yards. The winners, coached by Stan Dick, also receive a 24-yard scoring pass from Mike Makovec to Jim McCarroll.
