One injured in Carbon crash

One person was injured in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 3:50 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, along SR209, near Evergreen Road, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Eric J. Brady, 29, of Slatington, was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer southbound when the vehicle left the road and struck a roadside sign. It then continued on south and hit a utility pole.

A passenger, Gina Brady, 29, same address, was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by Palmerton ambulance.

Brady and another passenger, Brenda Koncz, 8, of Slatington, were not injured. The road was closed for about 30 minutes.

Troopers cited Brady for careless driving.
