Thorpe arrest reported

Jim Thorpe police today reported on an arrest made last Jan. 29.

Police said Douglas Paul Jugan, of 346 Fawn Circle, Jim Thorpe, was cited for cruelty to animals. According to police at about 6:05 p.m. they were called to Jugan's residence for a dog that had been crying constantly for hours. On scene police found a German shepherd on the property with no food and a cooking pot filled with frozen water.

The charge is a misdemeanor due the fact this is Jurgan's second cruelty to animals offense.
