Break-ins probed
State police at Lehighton reported troopers are investigating two burglaries that occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 16, both along Meixell Valley Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County.
A break-in occurred at the residence of Brian Sawyer. Entry was gained through a rear door. Removed were coins, including four silver dollars valued at $100. The entry occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.
A 73-year-old male reported his home was entered through a door leading to the basement/garage area. Removed was various items including a .30-caliber carbine rife. The entry occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and noon.
