Jim Thorpe burglaries

Jim Thorpe Borough police are investigating two recent burglaries.

The first happened between 2-2:45 p.m. Nov. 20 at Dezines Flower Shop on Walnut Avenue. An unknown actor(s) entered the store through a back window and removed about $20 from a donation jar belonging to Carbon County Friends of Animals and another $30 from the store cash register. Detective Lee Marzen is the investigating officer, and police say criminal arrests are pending.

The second burglary happened between Nov. 17 and 22 at the Masonic Lodge at 501 Center Street. Unknown actor(s) entered the building and caused damage throughout it.
