Monroe man facing drug charges
A Monroe County man is facing drug charges and a firearms count.
Pocono Mountain Regional police executed a search warrant about 6:13 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 122 Willow Grove Road, in Stillwater Lakes community in Pocono Summit. The warrant followed a several month investigation into drug dealing.
The homeowner was identified as Giovanni Dalessio, 22, who was a target of the drug investigation, police said. Police located and seized evidence of marijuana trafficking which included bulk quantities of marijuana, hundreds of empty baggies of various sizes consistent with street level dealing, a digital scale used to weigh marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
Police said they also located a .25-caliber semi-automatic handgun, a loaded magazine and ammunition. Police said the gun had the serial numbers filed off of it.
Also found in addition to the drugs was illegally obtained prescription medications that were located on the person of Kristine Williams, another resident of the home.
Police said Dalessio was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-marijuana (a ungraded felony), and related drug offenses. He was also charged with possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, a felony two. Dalessio was brought before District Judge Brian R. Germano, of Marshalls Creek, and released on bail.
