Albrightsville man facing charges

Anthony DeFeo, 47, of Albrightsville, was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, on Wednesday after he was caught stealing earlier in the day.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks charged the man with retail theft and took him to the prison to await arraignment.

Police said he was caught stealing $164.31 worth of merchandise at the Shop Rite store at Kingsley's Plaza in Monroe County. The incident happened at 2:15 p.m.
