County treasurer
County Treasurer Jacqueline McGovern released her monthly report on the county's financial status for October.
The beginning balance was $46,464,526.20, deposits $15,063,271.69, disbursements $12, 150,118.61 leaving an ending balance of $49,377,679.28.
Taxes received, real estate, $234,136.38; funded debt, $12,062.38 and per capita, $3,830.39. Revenues from license sales, dog, $150; fish, $4; hunting, $204; bingo license, $715 and small game of chance license, $1,020. Other revenues, fee earnings from district justice magisterial offices, $54,694.53; tariff for 9-1- from land telephones, $26,643.06; earnings from 9-1-1, $769.81, hotel tax, $20,519.60 and royalties received from coal mined from county held land, $7,171.35.
Credit card suits
Commonwealth Financial Systems Inc., Dickson City, filed suit against Eric Orach, 109 W. Cottage Ave., Tamaqua, alleging a unpaid balance of $18,620.14 remains on his credit card.
North Star Capital Acquisition, LLC, Amherst, N.Y., filed suit against Tammy A. Sacco, 310 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, alleging $988.07 remains unpaid on her credit card.
LVNV Funding, LLC, Greenville, S.C., filed suit against Wendy Reichert, 8 E. Ruddle St., Coaldale, claiming $3,490.32 remains unpaid on her credit card.
Cach, LLC, Denver, Colo., filed suit against Matthew D. Ruch, 3 Alfalfa Lane, New Ringgold, alleging $19,922.36 remains unpaid on his credit card.
Mortgage foreclosure
Wells Fargo Bank, Fort Mills, S.C., filed suit against Daniel J. Yelito, seeking a judgement of $138,247.05 and foreclosure on his property at 301 Green St., Tamaqua.
Summary hearing
Thomas Brooks Wheeler, 61, of Orwigsburg, won his appeal as Judge D. Michael Stine found him not guilty of a charge of disregarding a traffic line for which a district justice found him guilty. He saves paying a fine and cost totaling $109.50. He was cited by Pottsville police on SR61 last April 7.

Richard James Sullivan was granted a divorce from Jennifer Lynn Sullivan, both of Mahanoy City. They were married Oct. 29, 1988.
Lauren May Orlick was granted a divorce from Christopher Wayne Orlick, both of Pottsville. They were married June 11, 2005.
Joseph Lazarchick II, Pottsville, was granted a divorce from Alice M. Lazarchick, Minersville. They were married Oct. 16, 1999.
John M. Hanley was granted a divorce from Karen D. Hanley, both of Mahanoy City. They were married Sept. 12, 1987.
Deborah A. Koppenhaver was granted a divorce from Rodney R. Koppenhaven, both of Muir, Porter Township, They were married May 15, 1982.
