October 1, 1993 Kevin Serfass, despite playing with a broken nose in the second half, collects 12 tackles and intercepts a pass to help Pleasant Valley earn a 6-0 shutout win over Lehighton in Centennial League play. The Bears gain the only touchdown of the game late in the third quarter on a four-yard run by quarterback Phil Dorn. A fumble recovery by Matt Lunn with under a minute to play clinches the win for PV.
