Tamaqua couple celebrates 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Roger L. Arner Sr. of Tamaqua are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary.

They were married Oct. 1, 1960 at St. John's U.C.C. Church in Tamaqua.

Mrs. Arner is the former Hazle G. Gustus, daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Reiger) Gustus, formerly of Tamaqua.

Mr. Arner is the son of the late George and Madolyn (Balliet) Arner, formerly of Tamaqua.

The couple has two sons: Roger L. Jr., and his companion MaryAnn Neidlinger of Tamaqua, and Rick L., and his wife Debra A. of New Ringgold.

They also have two grandchildren: Ryan L. Arner of Tamaqua, and Andrea L., wife of Jason M. Smithmyer, of Coalport.

A family dinner to honor the occasion will be held in Lancaster.
