Driver cited after Carbon accident

A driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Steven D. Gintz, 30, of Bowmanstown, was driving a 2004 Dodge Neon on SR248 westbound in Lower Towamensing Township about 3:40 a.m., and on an exit ramp and traveling at a speed greater than reasonable for the right curve he was negotiating. The car traveled southwest off onto the shoulder and the driver's side front struck the guide rail.

Gintz sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. Troopers said he was cited for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.
