Woman cited for drunkenness

A Monroe County woman was cited for public drunkenness this week.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 8:16 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6, officers responded to the Walmart store in Mt. Pocono for a female causing a disturbance. On scene officers located the woman at the store entrance and observed her to be intoxicated.

She was identified as Luz Rivera, 41, of Tobyhanna. She was taken into custody and charged. She was then placed in the county prison in Snydersville.
