Resort sued
Elizabeth Dost, 4312 Loring St., Philadelphia, filed a civil complaint against Jim Thorpe Camping Resort Inc., 129 Lentz Trail, Jim Thorpe.
The suit states on Oct. 5, 2008, the plaintiff was at a cabin rented by another party as a guest. The suit further states the plaintiff was attempting to lower herself from the upper bunk of a bunk bed provided by the defendants when she was caused to stumble and fall to the ground sustaining injuries detailed in the suit.
The suit alleges the defendants did not provide a ladder, step stool or other "instrumentality" which could be utilitized to gain access to and from the upper bunk. Negligence is alleged and sought are damages in excess of $50,000.

Slip and fall suit

The suit states on March 13, 2009, Wayne Michaelchuck was at the Jack Forst Ski Area participating in sporting contests sponsored, in part, by the defendants. While the plaintiff was heading to the finish line in an event at a bar, he was caused to slip and fall due to a build up of water on the floor suffering injuries detailed in the suit.
Negligence is alleged and sought are damages in excess of $50,000 on each of nine counts.
