October 18, 1969 - Pete Susko had three touchdowns and Jim Thorpe scored its best victory of the season thus far with a 34-0 triumph over Northwestern. The Olympians led just 8-0 at halftime, but Bill Utsick returned the second half kickoff 67 yards to set up Jim Thorpe's second TD of the afternoon, a one-yard run by Susko. He also scored on a three-yard run and 40-yard run. Schlenner scored on a four-yard run and also threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Mike Kowatch.
