Monroe man facing DUI charge
A Monroe County man is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI).
Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 2:58 a.m. on Oct. 8 officers observed a vehicle being driven erratically and nearly causing an accident along SR611 at SR940 in Mt. Pocono.
A traffic stop was made and the driver was identified as Steven Napoli, 73, of Mt. Pocono. He was found to be extremely intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests, police said.
He was placed under arrest and transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.
